earth 3 tracks of heavy instrumental psych doom. Opening track is the band's sonic interpretation of a Brazilian indigenous ritual which takes you deep into the living jungle. Tracks 2 and 3 keep the texture but bring the heavy stoner doom riffs in as well as excellent slower doomy sections to keep it fresh. Favorite track: III/IV.

FDJ (Desert Psychlist) Superb dark atmospheric psychedelic doom that if it was any heavier would drop of this page!
Imagine a demonic march of torn and tortured souls through the fires of hell led by Satan playing the drums!

Favorite track: Anhangá.
Fuzzy Cracklins (The Swamp Records)

Fuzzy Cracklins (The Swamp Records) Heavy psych with the emphasis on heavy, and I really dig the layer of synths. Fuzzy's review is at www.fuzzycracklins.com/2020/08/doom-psych-mabura-new-ep-heni-drops-aug.html Favorite track: Bong of God.

about

Heni, of Yanomami root, is attributed to plants with magical powers, to their power of healing and protection. The relationship between native people and plants spread over time through ancient knowledge that, together with the indigenous people, has endured until the present days.
The intonation present in the first track (Anhangá), occurred during the visit of the Huni Kuin tribe in the opening of Kupixaua at Parque Lage (in Rio de Janeiro). The groups (Nawa) of the tribe have a deep ritualistic relationship with entheogenic plants. The recording, made and provided by documentary filmmaker and sound artist Eduardo Pereira, portrays the harmonization and ceremonial opening, asking for healing and protection.

The process of recording the EP started in December 2019 and extended until the last pre-pandemic meeting of the band. The two songs that follow him (III / IV and Bong of god) are until then considered by us the most "heavy / stony", with elements of stoner / doom tempered by heavy psych, especially the Brazilian elements, together with our instrumental interaction.
